Galaxy G20 Keyless Entry Car Alarm with 4 Buttons Review

(More customer reviews)Not sure who installed S Mitchell's alarm, but apparently someone who didn't know what they were doing. I've installed car electronics for over 30 years and all ScyTek alarms I've owned have worked outstanding! I currently own the Galaxy G20 and I love it! The remotes work great, and I can arm/disarm the alarm from half a block away! Not sure why someone would have to stand next to their car to get their remote to work. Sounds like either the remote's battery is low or the antenna wire coming off the alarm module is shoved up under the dash or somewhere else that is not allowing it a good signal. Mine is actually hanging out from under the dash, not surrounded by any metal or wires. My doors lock and unlock as they should, with either the remote or ignition. The dome light comes on as it is supposed to. I also have both a shock sensor and a proximity sensor hooked up (using a 3-into-1 adapter plug that allows adding 3 optional sensors to 1 sensor plug). Both work fine.
I totally love this alarm! I've had less issues with ScyTek alarms than with any other brands. Ease of installation is great, and their wiring diagrams are quite easy to understand. And I love the ability to turn features on or off.
Yes, the G20 is a GREAT car alarm! I give it 5 Stars and 2 thumbs up! If you don't know how to install alarms, I would suggest having a professional shop do it instead of doing it yourself and then complaining because it won't work.

I do recommend professional installation. If I had one thing to comment on is that I wish it came with a better sensor which detected glass breakage. You really have to set the sensor to a high setting to get a warning chirp when banging or leaning on the vehicle.

(More customer reviews)Purchased the Alert Model 450R in late Dec. 09, had it installed by a company that sells remote starters, alarms,stereos,etc. 3 days later, one of the key fob remotes quit working, was promised a replacement over the phone by the company handling warranty work for Alert. That was about a month ago & I'm still waiting. Meanwhile,the other key fob [it came with 2] is retiring from service as I write this. I could not write a review for the 450R because apparently, Amazon no longer carries that particular model. I wonder why? Keep this in mind when purchasing this brand. The owner of the company that installed this for me told me that Alert is made By Audiovox, so keep that in mind also.

(More customer reviews)seemed like a good product, though inexpensive. i bought my first crimestopper back in 1990. had this one in about a week when it went off by itself for no apparent reason. then i would come out of a resturant and find it had gone off. i had the sensitivity turned almost all the way down. it got to where i would see it arm and disarm by itself. perhaps the frequency it uses is too commonly used. ive disconnected it. a waste of $40 cash and about 20 headaches.

I opted after trying it myself to have a car stereo place install it for $25. Works well otherwise. Simple alarm/door remote if thats what you are looking for. Toy alarm loudness which is not good.
I was looking for something just to operate my power door locks other than the $250 factory.

(More customer reviews)After looking at a couple of comparable products, I chose the Autoloc CK4000 mainly because it did not require the addition of switches. It was ordered and quickly arrived from Amazon.com as advertised.
The product itself was much more misleading. Although each vehicle will present different problems it took almost 10 hours to install into a 2007 Kia Rio (the kit advertises that it can be installed in less than 1 hour).
The wiring to the front doors was too short and approximately 18" had to be added to the wiring harness. The Kia also uses cables (instead of rods) to control the lock/unlock functions of the front doors which presented another challenge.
The instructions from Autoloc were almost non-existent and the website did not offer any additional help. You are pretty much on your own.
After installation the kit seems to work well, but unless you are skilled in some fabrication and soldering techniques, this is something that should be left to the pros.

After opening the device I noticed that the internal wiring was disconnected from the circuitry panel. I've tried contacting the manufactorer (JBS Tech) 3 times with no response. I have since ordered a similar product except the Bulldog Security brand instead of JBS Tech knock-off brand.

After calling the manufacturer PRESTIGE they realized it was defective...he then instaled the other one, it works great and I am happy with the product. The problem now is that the manufacturer PRESTIGE won't stand behind their product, they told me to return it where I purchased it. I tried to return it to AJ WHOLESALES where it was purchased and they reluctantly took it back but are charging me a 20% restocking fee...for a defective product! There must be a lesson here somewhere!
